Our Story

My journey into planting churches is a testimony to the unwavering faithfulness of God in the midst of challenges and redirection. Born and bred in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, this community is not just where I live; it’s a part of who I am. At the tender age of 16, I encountered the life-transforming love of Christ, a pivotal moment that set the stage for the incredible adventure that would unfold. Together with my wife, Shirley, and our two daughters, Anaiah and Zoie, we embarked on a journey of coaching high school football and diving deep into youth ministry.

The calling the plant a church in my hometown of North Hils in 2019 felt like a divine echo, and with excitement and dedication, we launched. Little did we know, the challenges of COVID would throw our core team off balance, leading to the dissolution of the church. Yet, in the seasons of 2020 and 2022, God worked in ways that only divine hands could orchestrate. He brought healing, built resilience, and fueled a renewed sense of purpose within me.

 In February 2022, a fresh calling emerged, and we answered with the birth of Story City Church in Granada Hills that September. The journey has been nothing short of miraculous, with our community witnessing incredible growth. Now, standing at the one- and - a -half year mark, we’re gearing up for a transformative rebranding - Valley Hills Church. This isn’t just about planting churches; it’s about cultivating a space where lives are changes, hope is restored, and God’s glory shines brightly through every twist and turn of the story.
